Erikson Young serves as a Procurement Analyst at the Smithsonian Institution since November 2012, where responsibilities include procuring materials and services, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery timelines. Erikson also held the position of Acting Personal Property Manager, overseeing personal property management for nineteen museums in Washington, D.C. Previous experience includes roles as a Project Coordinator at Mobility International USA, a Library Assistant at SIT Graduate Institute, and an Adjunct Faculty member teaching American Sign Language at Columbia College Chicago. Additional educational contributions include serving as an instructor with the Peace Corps and conducting research for the Asociación Nacional de Sordos de Costa Rica. Erikson holds a Master of Arts in Social Justice in Intercultural Relations from SIT Graduate Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Spanish from Gallaudet University.
