Larry Varner

Larry Varner is an experienced Senior Project Manager at the Smithsonian Institution, providing expertise on capital renovation projects since 2006. Previously, Larry served as Facility Operations Manager at Gannett from 2000 to 2006, where responsibilities included overseeing the startup and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for the corporate headquarters and developing operational procedures for engineering systems. From 1995 to 2000, Larry held the same title at the National Gallery of Art, managing day-to-day operations and maintenance of engineering systems, as well as overseeing the installation and operation of the gallery's first building automation system. Larry's educational background includes studies at George Mason University and Northern Virginia Community College.
