Michael Tuttle is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in web services and planetary geology. Since August 1998, Michael has served as Manager of the Web Services Division at the Smithsonian Institution, known for overseeing web-related projects. Prior to this role, from April 1987 to October 1997, Michael worked as a Planetary Geologist at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, focusing on planetary research concerning the Moon and Mars, with an emphasis on scientific visualization and 3D animation. Michael also pioneered the creation of the initial websites for the Center for Earth and Planetary Studies and the National Air & Space Museum. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Maryland, earned between 1980 and 1986.
