Timothy Smith is an accomplished Occupational Safety Health Specialist at the Smithsonian Institution, addressing safety and health operations for the National Museum of the American Indian since March 2014. With over thirty-six years of experience at the Smithsonian, including roles as a Safety Coordinator and Lighting Designer, Timothy has a robust background in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and managing hazardous working conditions. Prior experience includes serving as CEO of TMS Design Inc. and working extensively as an Exhibits Specialist Model Maker. Timothy holds a BFA in sculpture design from Howard University and has completed coursework towards a master's degree in industrial design at North Carolina State University.
