We exist to eliminate one of the most costly and universal problems in software engineering: documentation debt.

Across every team, documentation is outdated, inconsistent, or missing entirely.

Engineers lose an average of 7.5 hours a week searching for context or rewriting what already exists. Knowledge is lost with employee turnover, compliance suffers when traceability breaks, and productivity continuously bleeds away. It’s not just a nuisance, it’s a silent drain on innovation, quality, and developer morale.

Smoothdev.io turns documentation from a manual burden into an autonomous process. Our AI powered solution integrates directly into existing tech stacks, automatically generating software documentation across the entire lifecycle, from commit message to end-user guides. Every change is captured as it happens. Keeping projects audit-ready, teams aligned, and documentation continuously current.

At Smoothdev.io, we believe documentation shouldn’t be a liability that slows engineers down it should be leverage to empower them to move even faster.
