Mark Chaet

Mark Chaet serves as the Dean of the FSU College of Medicine Orlando Campus since January 2022 and is a co-founder and president of the Independent Physicians Network in Florida since February 2015. As a franchise owner of Smoothie King since January 2016, Mark has diversified interests in health and wellness. Prior to these roles, Mark worked as a pediatric surgeon specializing in minimally invasive techniques from July 1997 to January 2022. Additional experience includes serving as Vice President and Player Representative at Prestige Sports Marketing and Management Group from October 2012 to January 2020, and founding OmniSurgical Consulting, where Mark operated from February 2008 to March 2015 as owner and chief medical consultant in surgical facility design and medical system development. Mark Chaet earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Emory University School of Medicine from 1985 to 1989 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Biology at Emory University from 1981 to 1985.
