Katherine Howard has a diverse work experience spanning various education and technology-related roles. Katherine currently works at Smoothwall as the Head of Education & Wellbeing (UK). Their responsibilities include managing the development, delivery, and quality of training related to safeguarding, digital safeguarding, and wellbeing. Katherine also delivers digital safeguarding training and consultancy to educational establishments and presents at national conferences on safeguarding and cybersecurity. Prior to their current role, Katherine worked as a Safeguarding & Training Lead at Smoothwall, where they managed the delivery of training, consultancy, and digital safeguarding solutions.

Before joining Smoothwall, Katherine worked at eSafe Global as a Digital Safeguarding Specialist, where they managed the delivery of digital safeguarding training and consultancy across the UK. Katherine also managed and delivered a consultancy program for schools and colleges.

Katherine worked at the BBC as a 21st Century Classroom Manager and Educational Consultant, where they managed the refurbishment of the BBC 21st Century Classroom and delivered sessions on digital creativity to schools. Katherine also worked at Salford City Council as a CLC Manager, overseeing projects on digital content creation, online safety training, and learning platform rollouts.

Katherine began their career as the Director of Music at Dumpton independent preparatory school and later worked at Priestlands high school as Assistant Head of Department and then Head of Music, where they organized music events and supported various projects.
