Thomas Cathey

Thomas Cathey has a strong background in information technology and project management. Thomas is currently serving as the Director of Information Technology at Sports Medicine Research and Testing Lab. Prior to this, they worked at BioFire Diagnostics, LLC in various roles such as Information Services Change Management Specialist, Associate Director of IS Automation, and Senior Project Manager. In these roles, Thomas successfully managed several projects and implemented various systems and processes, including cost accounting method change, ERP technical aspects, BI cloud platform launch, and Salesforce implementation. Thomas also curated vendor applications, authored process documentation, and administered technical resources. Before joining BioFire Diagnostics, Thomas worked as an EDI Manager at CBIZ. Thomas began their career as an Algebra and Physical Science Teacher at Cesar Chavez Middle School.

Thomas Cathey completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from California State University - East Bay in 2004. In addition to their degree, they have obtained two certifications: a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner from Prosci in October 2020 and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in July 2020.
