Michael Rich is an accomplished academic and marketing professional with extensive experience in higher education and practical marketing research. As the Executive Director of the Southwest Marketing Advisory Center since its founding in 2002, Rich has led the organization in completing 450 commercial marketing research projects for clients in Southwest Minnesota and nearby states. In addition to this role, Rich serves as the Chair of the Marketing Department and Professor of Marketing at Southwest Minnesota State University, where oversight includes the course delivery and design for 110 marketing majors. Previous academic positions include Professor at Southern Polytechnic State University, where Rich established a marketing discipline, and at California University of Pennsylvania, where an updated marketing curriculum was developed. Rich holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business, an MBA in Management-Marketing from Kent State University, and a B.S. in Finance from Utah State University.
