Steve Berntsen

Steve Berntsen is a Senior Software Architect at SMT (SportsMEDIA Technology Corp) since December 2019. Prior to this role, Steve worked at ESPN for over 22 years, serving in various capacities including Staff Software Engineer, St. Technical Specialist, and Associate Director of Remote Production Systems. During the tenure at ESPN, responsibilities included developing and supporting advanced graphical enhancements for major sporting events, technology support for the Open Championship, and leading a team in creating ESPN's Remote Production Automated Graphics solutions. Steve began his career as a Software Engineer at Applied Business Corporation and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Virginia, earned in 1993.
