Founded in 2000, Southern Methodist University's Mock Trial Program is an organization that strives to help undergraduate students be successful in competition by developing their skills in legal analysis and oral advocacy. Each year, students compete in three to five invitational, regional, and national tournaments in hopes of winning the national title. SMU Mock Trial not only strives to do well in competition, but also provides its students with the work ethic, critical thinking skills, and leadership experience necessary to be successful in a wide variety of professions. Throughout their time in the organization, students achieve great personal success and develop friendships and personal connections that will last a lifetime.
