Christy Dray

Christy Dray has over two decades of experience in various management and technical roles within the energy and mapping sectors. Currently serving as the Manager of Substation Maintenance at SMUD since July 2003, Christy leads multi-functional work teams in executing construction and maintenance plans for substations. Prior positions include Manager of Field Metering and Senior Learning & Development Specialist, where responsibilities involved training needs identification, curriculum development, and program coordination. Additionally, Christy served as a Behavior Based Safety Process Facilitator, promoting safety practices across the organization. Earlier experience as a Mapping/Graphics Technician for the County of Sutter involved transitioning to ArcGIS and enhancing GIS databases. Christy holds a B.A. in Geography from California State University, Chico, and an A.A. in Liberal Studies from Chabot College.
