Devesh Chandra

Devesh Chandra has extensive work experience in engineering and software development roles. Devesh started their career as a Software Engineer at Siemens Energy in 1996 and worked on the design and development of software applications for power system operation and planning studies. Devesh later joined StorageTek as a Staff Level Software Engineer in 2001. Devesh then returned to Siemens Energy in 2003 as a Senior Consultant, where they worked on software development projects involving architecture, design, and management. In 2006, they started their own company, Softblock Systems LLC, where they served as the Owner until 2011. Devesh also worked as a Senior Database Consultant at Thomson Reuters from September 2009 to August 2010. Devesh then worked at Siemens Industry US as a Senior Engineer from August 2010 to December 2014. Currently, Devesh is working at SMUD as a Principal Engineer since January 2015.

Devesh Chandra pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow, from 1990 to 1994. Following this, they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Energy Economics from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research during the academic year 2004 to 2005. Devesh then went on to complete a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, from 2009 to 2013.
