Ken Groves

Ken Groves is an accomplished Facility Manager at SMUD since May 2008, overseeing operations with a focus on facilities planning, maintenance, and management of a $12 million operations budget and approximately $10 million in capital budget annually. Prior to this role, Ken served as Manager of Engineering at NEC Electronics from 2005 to 2008, leading manufacturing engineering initiatives that saved over $25 million annually. Ken's extensive experience in manufacturing includes positions such as Manager of Manufacturing Engineering at NEC Electronics America, responsible for production scheduling and operational efficiency for $500 million semiconductor operations, and various managerial roles at NEC Electronics from 1994 to 2005, where notable accomplishments included leading a project that generated over $30 million in savings. Ken's career began at Teledyne, where management of aerospace manufacturing operations solidified a strong foundation in supervisory roles. Ken holds a BS in Management from Golden Gate University and an AA in Electronics from DeVry University.
