Peter Bell is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy and biofuel sectors. Currently serving as a Strategic Business Planner for Energy Storage at SMUD since November 2022, Peter is also the Founder of the Urban Air Mobility Coalition for Affordable Housing, which advocates for statewide regulations supporting zero-emission flight. As Curator of Start-Ups at the Davis Funding Club since March 2016, Peter focuses on investing in innovative solutions from UC intellectual property. Peter co-founded Renewable Fuel Products in 2007, leading the technology development for commercial deployment, and previously co-founded Willie Nelson Biodiesel, where efforts were concentrated on marketing biodiesel for the trucking industry. As the founder and CEO of Distribution Drive, Peter was instrumental in advancing the biodiesel industry in the US, while earlier co-founding Flagship Systems, Inc., known for its accounting software.
