Doug Belvin has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Doug started their career in the US Navy as a Naval Aviator and Test Pilot in 1993, where they served until 2003. From 2004 to 2016, they held various roles in the US Navy, including Deputy Program Manager for future catapult and arresting gear systems for Ford Class Aircraft Carriers and Acquisition Team Lead/Staff. In 2016, Doug joined Smartronix, where they initially served as the Defense Solutions Director of Operations. In 2021, they were promoted to Vice President - Growth Operations. Their responsibilities at Smartronix include overseeing integrated execution between program and project teams, ensuring precision execution and alignment with corporate goals, and managing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business processes and reporting rhythms.

Doug Belvin attended Duke University from 1989 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on Electrical Engineering. Doug then pursued their Master of Science degree in Technical Management from Johns Hopkins University, Whiting School of Engineering, from 2001 to 2003. In 2000 to 2001, Doug attended the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, specializing in Fixed Wing Test Pilot training as part of Class 119.
