Melanie Imbert has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Melanie began their career as a Help Desk Specialist at Western University in 2005. Melanie then joined IBM Canada Ltd., where they worked as an IT Specialist and a DB2 Build Developer, providing clients with enterprise solution recommendations and creating and maintaining automation scripts. In 2009, they joined the U.S. Department of Labor as an IT Consultant/System Engineer, where they provided technology solutions and executed a virtualization plan that resulted in significant cost savings. In 2013, Melanie joined Smartronix, starting as a Solutions Architect and later becoming the Manager of Cloud Solution Delivery. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Service Delivery in the Cloud Center of Excellence at Smartronix. In this role, they provide architecture and design recommendations to customers for their migration to the AWS cloud.
Melanie Imbert attended Western University from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained an H. Bsc. degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering. Melanie has also obtained multiple certifications from various institutions, including Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in 2020, Google Cloud Certified - Associate Cloud Engineer and Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect from Google in 2018, and AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, AWS Certified Developer - Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services between 2013 and 2018.
