Scott Barr

Scott Barr is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in operational leadership, strategic initiatives, and technology services. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at SMX since June 2025, Scott leads cross-departmental efforts to achieve strategic goals. As Chief Executive Officer of Taytian, a real estate investment company established in May 2020, Scott demonstrates expertise in real estate strategies. Additionally, Scott has been a member of the Executive Board at USO Mid-Atlantic since March 2016, supporting military service members. Previous roles include Technology Services Lead at Maximus, Managing Director at vetSante, and President at Sierra7, where Scott drove significant business growth and managed operations. Scott’s career began at Booz Allen Hamilton as Senior Vice President and includes academic contributions as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University. Educational qualifications include an MBA from The Johns Hopkins University and a Change Management Advanced Practitioner certification from Georgetown University.
