Stu Young

Stu Young is an accomplished Technical Director at SMX since April 2017, specializing in mission and payload solutions, advanced telecommunication devices, and cyber protection services, with expertise in product technical reviews and strategic planning. Prior to this role, Stu served as Director of Systems Engineering and Executive Director of Cyber Warfare at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) from June 1989 to March 2017, where architecture of engineering methods and leadership across multiple departments were key responsibilities. Stu began a career as a Naval aviator with TRAWING 5, VT-25, from June 1986 to April 1989, flying TA-4Js. Academic credentials include a Master of Business Administration in International Finance from Marymount University and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland.
