Atli Joensen is a dedicated HESQ Manager at Smyril Line, where they lead safety, environmental, quality, and compliance efforts across a multifaceted maritime operation. With over a decade of experience, Atli has integrated regulatory frameworks such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and the ISM Code into practical applications, driving operational excellence. Previously, they served as a dual HESQ and IT Manager in the aviation sector, gaining expertise in project management and emergency preparedness, and also worked in the telecom industry as a project manager. Atli holds a master’s degree in Production and Management from Aalborg University and has a background in marine engineering from Svendborg International Maritime Academy.
