Dan McGreer

Dan McGreer is a Professional Engineer in British Columbia and an adjunct professor in the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NAME) program at the University of British Columbia, where they teach Ship Design courses. With over 30 years of experience as a Principal Naval Architect at Vard Marine, Dan was involved in various aspects of ship design and managed notable projects including the design of vessels for the Canadian Coast Guard and Navy. Dan graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Naval Architecture. Currently, Dan is the President of the Association of British Columbia Marine Industries and serves on the executive of the Canadian Pacific Section of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. Additionally, Dan runs McGreer Marine Consulting, providing naval architecture consulting services to the marine industry.
