Mike Young

Mike Young has a diverse range of work experience. Mike is currently working as a Senior Software Applications Engineer at SnippetSentry since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at ICON plc as a Principal Software Engineer from 2018 to 2023, where they oversaw the design and development of stateless micro-service applications and led backend development for a clinical trial electronic data capture system.

Before that, Mike worked at The Nerdery as a Senior Software Engineer from 2015 to 2018, where they built web-based business applications and customer-facing mobile applications. Mike also worked on rolling out new Spring Boot microservices and converting onboarding web services.

From 2013 to 2015, Mike worked at DST Systems as a Senior Software Developer. In this role, they developed business process management software, implemented automated test reporting tools, and designed and implemented a batch process manager for high-availability clusters across multiple containers.

Mike also has prior experience as a Summer Intern / Data Analyst at Commerce Bank in 2012, a Sales Associate at the University of Central Missouri from 2010 to 2012, a Programmer/IT Associate at Q&A Research from 2008 to 2010, a Restaurant Manager at Young Unlimited, Inc from 2006 to 2008, and a Programmer Internship at Affiliated Acceptance Corporation in 2006.

Mike Young earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems from the University of Central Missouri in 2012.
