Michael Cotton

Michael Cotton is a highly experienced architect with over 20 years in the field, currently serving as Director and Senior Architect at Snøhetta since January 2009. Previous roles include Architect at SHoP Architects for nearly a year, Associate at Envelope A+D for seven years, and Designer at FERNAU & HARTMAN ARCHITECTS, INC. for a year and a half. Michael's early experience includes a position as Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, where responsibilities encompassed assisting both undergraduate and graduate architecture studios. Michael holds a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as dual Bachelor degrees in Environmental Design in Architecture and Industrial Design from North Carolina State University.
