Abdul Q Munir

Abdul Q Munir is a Director of Engineering and Founding Engineer at Snowflake, where since April 2013, efforts have focused on developing a premier cloud data platform, specifically enhancing the Snowflake query engine through advancements in SQL features, query optimization, and workload acceleration. Prior experience includes roles at Oracle from September 2010 to April 2013 as a Senior Member of Technical Staff and earlier positions in technical staff. Additionally, Abdul Q Munir gained experience as a Software Developer Intern at Thomson Reuters during the summers of 2008 and 2009. Educational qualifications include two SB degrees in Computer Science and Engineering and Writing from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, achieved between 2006 and 2010.
