Bohan Zhai

Bohan Zhai is a Research Engineer at Snowflake since April 2024, focusing on large language models (LLMs) and vision-language models (LVLMs) as part of the #SnowflakeArctic team. Prior to this role, Bohan served as a Research Scientist at ByteDance, contributing to projects involving LLMs, code generation, and multi-modality tasks from November 2023 to April 2024. Experience at TikTok as a Machine Learning Engineer included efforts in video understanding using LLMs. Bohan previously worked at Walmart as a Data Scientist, where ad-hoc retrieval for sponsor ads was a key responsibility, and at Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research, focusing on Text to Speech technologies and efficient neural networks. Bohan's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and a strong foundation in research from multiple positions, including roles at Berkeley DeepDrive.
