Dwarak Rajagopal serves as the Vice President and Head of AI Engineering at Snowflake since November 2024, driving innovation within AI and ML engineering organizations. Rajagopal also holds a position as a Board Member at the PyTorch Foundation since 2023. Previously, Rajagopal was a Senior Engineering Director at Google from September 2022 to November 2024, overseeing AI Frameworks and Foundations teams. From January 2019 to September 2022, Rajagopal was an Engineering Director at Meta, leading the PyTorch Core team. Prior experience includes roles at Uber as Head of Core Platforms for Autonomous Vehicles (2017-2019), Apple as a Senior Engineering Manager and Software Architect (2009-2017), AMD as a Software Engineering Lead (2004-2009), and a stint as an NLP Research Intern at Thomson Reuters in 2003. Rajagopal holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Madras.
