Associate General Counsel at Snowflake

Emi Chuang is the Associate General Counsel at Snowflake. Emi has over fifteen years of experience as a corporate attorney, specializing in negotiation and closing revenue deals and overseeing legal support for complex transactions.

Emi began their career as a Director and Associate General Counsel at Openwave Systems Inc. in 2003. Emi then served as the Director / Senior Corporate Counsel at Borland from 2008 to 2009. In 2010, Emi became the Director, Legal at NetApp, Inc. Emi held this position until 2012 when they joined NetSuite Inc. as their Senior Director, Senior Counsel / Director, Senior Counsel. Emi was with NetSuite for five years before moving to their current role as Associate General Counsel at Snowflake in 2017.

During their time at NetSuite, Emi was voted 2015 MVP by the North America sales team. Emi was also chosen to train global sales personnel regarding negotiation tactics and strategy. At Snowflake, Emi continues to provide legal counsel and support to senior management on a variety of risk allocation matters in key transactions.

Emi Chuang attended DePauw University for their undergraduate degree in Chemistry. Emi then went on to Golden Gate University School of Law to earn their J.D.

Their manager is David Hudanish, Vice President, Deputy General Counsel. Emi Chuang works with Michael Lee - Associate General Counsel, Sonam Malhi - Corporate Counsel, and Amanda Baratz - Corporate Counsel.
