František Rolinek is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in database security and software development. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Snowflake since July 2020, František oversees the Database Security organization, which includes key teams focused on Identity and Access Management, Database Platform Security, and Trust Center. Previous roles include positions at Oracle, where František led the development of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Key Management Service, and Amazon, where contributions included optimizing inventory flow systems. Early career experiences involved software engineering roles at Deutsche Börse Services and Clearstream, focusing on large-scale security settlement engines, as well as programming and research roles at OKsystem s.r.o. and Czech Technical University. František holds a Magister and Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Czech Technical University in Prague.
