Harshada Chavan is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Snowflake, having previously served as a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Oracle where they focused on in-memory column store, query acceleration using GPUs, and AI vector support. Harshada’s notable experience includes developing MapReduce jobs at Intuit as an SDE intern, and conducting extensive research on GPU-accelerated systems during their tenure as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota. They have also contributed to projects at SAP Labs and Microsoft Research, indicating a strong background in database development and optimization. Harshada is pursuing multiple degrees, including a PhD at the University of Minnesota and an M.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay.
