Michael Gorkow

Michael Gorkow is the current Field CTO, Data Science & ML at Snowflake. Prior to this, they were a Senior Sales Engineer at Snowflake for 18 months, responsible for bringing Snowflakes technology and vision to executives and technical experts at prospects and customers. Michael was part of the whole sales cycle, including technical deep dives, building and presenting demos, technical architecture and solution design, proof of concepts, consumption estimates, implementation, and regular business reviews.

Besides to that, they had a strong passion to develop Snowflake's business in the area of Datascience by developing custom demos based on Open Source technology, educating internal and external stakeholders and being a speaker at public events. Prior to Snowflake, Michael Gorkow was a Presales Data Scientist at SAS for 4 years, and before that they were a Business Consultant at BearingPoint for 1 year and an IT Consultant at KPMG for 1 year. Michael started their career as an Internal Student at IBM for 3 years.

Michael Gorkow has a Master of Science in Data Science from Hochschule Albstadt-Sigmaringen, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics from Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg. Michael is also certified by Snowflake in SnowPro Core Certification, IBM in Big Data Foundations - Level 1, and IBM in Hadoop Foundations - Level 1.
