Albert Bokkestijn

Albert Bokkestijn has extensive experience in forestry and project management, currently serving as Project Manager for the Dutch Fund for Climate & Development at SNV since September 2019. Previously, Albert held the position of Regional Director for the Andean Forests Program at Helvetas from March 2015 to August 2019, and worked with SNV Cameroon as Sector Leader in Renewable Energy and Project Coordinator for Community Forestry. A background as an independent consultant further highlights expertise in forestry and organizational development. Notable roles also include Senior Forestry Advisor at SNV in both Peru and Bolivia, Project Director for the PROMAB project at Utrecht University, and Agroforestry Advisor in Uganda. Albert’s education includes a Master of Science in Forestry, Ecology, and Land Use Planning from Wageningen University & Research.
