Eelco Baan has extensive experience in development and advisory roles, particularly in the field of smallholder agriculture and market access. Since May 1999, Eelco has held various senior positions at SNV, including Network Leader and Senior Advisor focused on Small Holder Cash Crops, Portfolio Coordinator for Market Access for the Poor, and Senior Advisor for Micro and Small Enterprise Development. Prior to that, from January 1993 to April 1999, Eelco served as Country Director for ZOA Refugee Care, overseeing programs in Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Cambodia aimed at rehabilitating and reintegrating returnees and internally displaced persons. Eelco holds a degree from the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University.
