Steve Kinman

Steve Kinman is the CISO at Snyk, a position they have held since September 2021. Prior to their current role, Steve served as the VP of Information Security for Zalando SE from February 2018 to September 2021. In this role, Steve was responsible for driving the overall Group strategy of Information Security, Data Governance, and Privacy for the company. This included a complete security organization turnaround, which was necessary to meet the regulatory requirements and risk appetite of a multi-billion Euro company.

Steve has extensive experience in the field of information security, and has used this experience to build a secure and private product by design. Steve has also led engineering teams that focus on Identity and Access Management, Security Automation and Engineering, and Asset Management. In addition to their work in information security, Steve has also been involved with the leadership and strategy of the privacy guild that must solve for GDPR and Antitrust requirements.

Their manager is Peter McKay, CEO. They work with Adi Sharabani - CTO, Adriana Bokel Herde - Chief People Officer, and Manoj Nair - Chief Product Officer.
