Kit Wheeler

Kit Wheeler is responsible for overseeing the royalty collections for the public performance and reproduction rights of music in Canada, while managing important relationships with new and existing media, live music, and general business licensees. Kit is also on the Board of Directors and Treasurer of Entandem Inc. Since joining SOCAN in 2001, Kit has gained experience and knowledge in several areas, starting as a Business Analyst in our Finance department, where she implemented budgeting and forecasting processes. Kit then became the Project Manager in the Distribution department, for a re-engineering initiative. In her next role, as the Manager of Concerts department, she worked with Membership to identify opportunities to increase distribution to members. More recently, she led the Distribution department’s operational team as Vice President, spearheading numerous key projects to execute valuable back-office services deals. Prior to joining SOCAN, Kit worked in financial roles in both corporate and non-profit organizations. Kit’s studies include a Bachelor of Commerce at University of Toronto, and a designation toward CGA certification.
