Mike King is responsible for SOCAN’s human capital strategic planning and business evolution support and oversees both SOCAN’s human resources and workspace & environment (WE) functions. Mike has led the Human Resources department since his arrival in 2004. With over 25 years in progressive business leadership roles in Canada and internationally, Mike has headed teams at retail, regional and head office levels, including 16 years in senior-level human resource roles providing HR and business transformation counsel to leadership teams at various organizations. He has served with several boards of directors, and has contributed his time over the last nine years on the Advisory Board for Humber College’s Bachelor of Commerce Human Resources Management Degree Program. Mike is a designated Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), and member of the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA).
