Social Aid is a national, non-profit, and non-political voluntary development organization that operates under the official recognition of key government authorities, including the NGO Affairs Bureau of the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Social Welfare, and the Department of Youth Development. The organization was established with the primary objective of improving the well-being and livelihoods of communities in remote, hilly, and underserved regions of Bangladesh.

Since its inception, Social Aid, as a non-profit entity, has undergone continuous development, adapting to the evolving needs of the communities it serves. Its commitment to making a positive impact has led to a notable expansion of its  operational reach, now spanning eleven districts in Bangladesh. Social Aid is dedicated to addressing the needs of  impoverished, needy, and vulnerable populations in both humanitarian and developmental contexts.

Over the years, Social Aid has developed substantial organizational competency, which has been instrumental in the  successful implementation of larger initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By focusing on these broader objectives, Social Aid demonstrates its commitment to creating lasting and meaningful positive change in the lives of those it serves, contributing to the overall development of Bangladesh and the achievement of global sustainability targets.
