Kate Bishop

Kate Bishop is the Director of the Technical Team at Social Development Direct, leading a group of specialists focused on gender equality, safeguarding, governance, and social inclusion. With over two decades of experience in international development, they have held various advisory roles, including Consultant for ActionAid UK and Gender Equality Adviser at Oxfam. Kate has contributed to shaping policies on women's rights at Amnesty International Argentina and has actively engaged with DFID on violence against women and girls. They earned a Master's degree in English Literature from The University of Edinburgh and a Master of Science in Violence, Conflict, and Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies, U. of London.
