Robert Watts

Robert Watts is a semi-retired professional with extensive experience in disability adjudication and public administration. Currently self-employed since May 2009, Robert previously served as a Senior Advisor in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner for Disability Adjudication and Review. From January 1996 to May 2009, Robert was the Director at Virginia Disability Determination Services, managing a workforce of over 400 employees and ensuring timely and accurate decisions on Social Security claims, with the agency consistently ranked in the top five nationally. Earlier, from May 1987 to January 1996, Robert worked as a Senior Analyst at the Virginia Department of Planning and Budget, where program evaluation studies were designed and actionable recommendations were provided to state decision-makers. Robert holds a Master's degree in Social Work Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and English from the University of Richmond.
