Dev Bhattacharya

VP of HardwareEngineering at Socket Mobile

Dev Bhattacharya has a strong background in hardware engineering and has held various leadership positions throughout their career. From 2002 to 2010, they worked at Rockwell Collins as a Principal Engineer, where they led the development of embedded systems and architected a video processing SOC. Dev then moved to Logitech, where they served as the Senior Manager of Hardware Engineering from 2010 to 2012. In this role, Dev managed a team of engineers and delivered complex IoT and embedded system products. In 2012, they joined Moog Crossbow as the Director of Hardware Engineering, where they developed autopilot/robotics and control systems and reduced RF implementation costs. Since 2016, Dev has been working at Socket Mobile, initially as a Director and later as the VP of Hardware Engineering. Here, they managed a team of engineers and played a significant role in developing and ramping up barcode and NFC reader/writer products. Dev's work at Socket Mobile resulted in increased product quality, customer satisfaction, and doubled quarterly product revenue.

Dev Bhattacharya received a Master of Science (M.S) degree in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster® from Scrum.org in May 2010.
