Eric Glaenzer has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Eric started their career as the Chief Technical Officer at Inventop Software Corporation in 1998, where they managed a team of 7 engineers and developed a peer-to-peer technology using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi messaging application for wireless devices. The application, BuzzeeBee, was downloaded by more than 50,000 users worldwide.
In 2000, Eric moved to Socket Mobile, Inc. and held various roles. Eric started as a Senior Software Architect, where they led and designed the first Bluetooth stack available for Windows PocketPC. This stack was implemented in various PDAs from HHP, Motorola, and Intermec. Eric also standardized coding practices and implemented debugging tools for easy troubleshooting.
Eric later became the Bluetooth Group Manager and launched the company's first initiative of common code across Windows platforms. Eric designed and implemented Connect!Agent, a Bluetooth Smart serial driver used in multiple wireless products.
In 2005, Eric was promoted to Director of Software, responsible for the data collection, cordless connectivity, and device management group. Eric managed key software products generating 80% of the company's revenue, including SocketScan and ScanAPI. In this role, they handled project management, customer support, offshore resource management, and team project management.
Most recently, Eric became the Vice President and Chief Software Architect at Socket Mobile, Inc. in 2019.
Eric Glaenzer pursued their education in the field of engineering. Eric completed their Bachelor's degree in Engineering from EPITA: Ecole d'Ingénieurs en Informatique during the years 1989 to 1991. Following that, they enrolled in the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers and obtained a Master's degree in Engineering, studying there from 1991 to 1993.
