Socompa is a Tour Operator based in Salta, in North-Western Argentina, proudly certified as a B Corporation™ — meeting the highest standards of social and environmental performance.

With over 20 years of experience, Socompa is a leading expert in the Puna. We have pioneered many of the routes and destinations that today define the region. But more than that, we design private journeys with purpose — focused on quality over quantity, and always guided by a deep respect for people and nature.

Our trips are crafted to inspire wonder and transformation. We work with highly trained guides whose main goal is to truly connect with travellers and create meaningful, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. We operate with strict safety protocols, including fully equipped 4x4 vehicles, constant trip monitoring, and a 24/7 emergency call service.

Travelling in this remote corner of the globe means embracing the challenge of the Andes and its diverse climate, while exploring some of the most thrilling and least-visited places on Earth.

Travelling with Socompa means doing things the right way: with care, professionalism, and authenticity. Every detail is designed with intention — to support local communities, protect the environment, and deliver journeys that move and inspire.

In addition, we own two exclusive hotels: Finca Valentina and Hostería del Peñón.

"The journey to a very special place - remote, immense, solitary - generates a reconnection, an inner transformation, which is the true adventure experienced traveling with Socompa."
