Soconomar was founded in Genoa in 1951 by the De Michelis family, now leading the company in its third generation. 

In the first twenty years, the main activity was the import of raw materials destined for the chemical industry. 
Starting from the 70s, imports gradually expanded to include resins, pigments, waxes emulsions, various additives, and masterbatches.

Today, Soconomar is a leading company in the sale and distribution of raw materials for the paint, coating, plastic, ink, leather finishing, paper mills, digital printing, and adhesive fields. 
It boasts a specialized laboratory, employees with a technical background and an internal staff capable of quickly meeting the customers' pre and post-sales needs.
