Mark Stich

Mark Stich is a Metallurgical/Materials Engineer at SOCOTEC USA since February 2022, where responsibilities include failure analysis, materials characterization, and the development of metals and composites for various industries. Previously, Mark interned at JFE Steel Corporation, focusing on fracture behavior of ultra-high strength steels and finite element analysis for automotive applications. Additionally, Mark served as a researcher at the National Research Council Canada, working on environmentally friendly collectors in froth flotation, and developed a reaction vessel to enhance experimental accuracy. Early experience includes an undergraduate research project at McGill University on heavy metal ion removal from wastewater. Mark obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Engineering from McGill University in May 2021.
