Brian Duimstra

Brian Duimstra is a highly experienced software engineer and instructor currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at Socratic since August 2020 and an Instructor for a part-time full-stack web development class at the University of Washington since September 2018. Prior to these roles, Brian held various positions at Microsoft from February 2015 to August 2020, including Senior Software Engineering Manager and Senior Software Development Engineer. Experience also includes working as a Senior Interactive Web Developer at Nordstrom and as a Web Designer and Developer at Laplink Software. Brian possesses extensive skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various Adobe Creative Suite applications, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts degree in Game and Interactive Media Design from Michigan State University.
