In 2013, they led the CITRIS Wave Energy Converter project as the Project Lead, managing a team of engineering students to design and test a full-scale prototype.

Lastly, Nicholas served as the Engineering Intern Coordinator at Make Magazine from September 2010 to September 2012.

Nicholas Raymond has a strong educational background in mechanical engineering. Nicholas first attended Santa Rosa Junior College from 2006 to 2011, where they obtained an AS degree in engineering. Subsequently, they pursued further education at the University of California, Davis, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in mechanical engineering from 2011 to 2013. Following this, Nicholas Raymond completed a Master's degree in mechanical engineering at the same university from 2013 to 2016. In addition to their degrees, they also obtained a certification in FE Mechanical from NCEES in October 2013.
