Jip Friesen

Jip Friesen has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. From 2021 to the present, Jip worked at SOFAR Europe, initially as a Business Development Manager in the Benelux region, and later transitioning to the role of Marketing Communications Specialist. Prior to joining SOFAR Europe, Jip worked as an English Language Teacher at both Xi'an International Studies University (2019-2021) and Xianyang Normal University (2017). Jip also has experience as a Freelance Translator at Talking China Language Services (2019) and as a Regional Representative for Asia at Circularise (2017-2019). Overall, Jip's experience includes roles in education, translation, business development, and marketing communications.

Jip Friesen's education history is as follows:

In 2005-2011, Jip Friesen attended Rietveld Lyceum and obtained a VWO (pre-university secondary education) degree with a focus on Economie & Maatschappij (Economy & Society).

From 2013-2016, Jip Friesen studied at the University of Antwerp and successfully completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Applied Linguistics.

In 2016-2017, Jip attended Northwest University for non-degree studies in Chinese language and culture.

In 2017, Jip enrolled in a master's program at Leiden University and completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Chinese Studies (120EC) in 2019.

During the same year as the master's program, in 2018-2019, Jip also undertook non-degree studies in Chinese language and culture at Shandong University.

Furthermore, Jip Friesen obtained the following certifications: HSK level 4 from the National Chinese Language Promotion Office in January 2017, HSK level 5 in June 2017, and HSK level 6 in January 2019.
