Babu George has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Babu started their career with SBM Offshore in 2000, where they served as an Engineering Project Manager responsible for project engineering and timely submission of engineering deliverables. In 2013, they were promoted to the role of Project Director at SBM Offshore and held this position until 2017.
In 2018, Babu joined SBM Offshore USA, Inc. as a Senior Project Manager, overseeing the Cameroon Etinde Field LNG FPSO FEED project. Babu successfully managed the construction of a FLNG Plant with a wet gas processing capability of 310 Mscfd and an LNG FPSO capable of handling up to 1 unit.
Since April 2019, Babu has been working as a Project Director at SOFEC, Inc.
Babu George began their education in 1983 at Cochin University of Science and Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Ship Building. Babu successfully completed this program in 1988. Later, in 1991, they attended the University of Strathclyde and obtained an MSC in Marine Technology in the following year, 1992.
