Barnaby Alter

Barnaby Alter is a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Observability Engineering and Platform Reliability at SoFi since June 2022. Prior to SoFi, Barnaby held the position of Senior Software Engineer in Site Reliability Engineering at Better from November 2021 to April 2022. Barnaby's extensive experience in web application architecture and development was demonstrated during over thirteen years at New York University’s Division of Libraries, where roles included Manager of Web Application Architecture & Development Services and Interim Co-Head of Library IT & Library Media Services. Barnaby began the professional journey at Bard College as a Student Webmaster while earning a B.A. in Computer Science and Music.
