Dakota Commons is a highly experienced data scientist with a strong background in marketing analytics and data-driven decision making. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Data Scientist at SoFi since October 2017, Dakota has successfully built a Datalake Python ETL pipeline and a CRM Dashboard, streamlining campaign performance for over 300 marketing initiatives. Prior roles at SoFi included implementing a response model that saved $6.3 million annually in direct mail costs and developing member segmentation models. Dakota's earlier experience includes positions at Yelp as a Data Analytics Associate, Amazon as an Area Manager, and Verizon, where notable achievements included winning a company-wide intern contest and contributing to patent applications for innovative cost-saving technologies. Dakota holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Analytics Information Technology, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rutgers University.
