Jorge Oliveira

Jorge Velarde is a seasoned executive in the biotechnology and genomics sectors, currently serving as Chief Business Officer at Singular Genomics since October 2018, focusing on advancing science and medicine through genomics. Jorge also contributes as a Board Member at Kura Biotech, which aims to support laboratories in overcoming complex challenges in toxicology, food testing, and genomics. Previously, Jorge held the position of Chief Executive Officer and President at BaseHealth, Inc., where the development of an integrated health management platform was a key initiative. Early career experience includes leadership roles at Illumina, Inc. as Vice President of Business Development, and business development at Gen-Probe, Inc., alongside earlier scientific roles at Chugai BioPharmaceuticals and Louisiana State University School of Medicine.
